The Amazos of today are a far cry from those that came before them, largely thanks to the efforts of Batman’s own repurposed Amazo android – Failsafe. This updated, impossibly cunning android was created from the remains of the most recent Amazo to threaten the Justice League, which was repurposed by Batman’s twisted Zur-En-Arrh persona into a literal fail safe to stand in the Dark Knight’s way should he ever go rogue. Failsafe soon went to war with the Batman Family, only to suffer a devastating defeat before taking up arms with Amanda Waller.
