When Peter Parker’s good friend, Randy Robertson, was caught in the crossfire, Spider-Man vowed to stop the fighting, and made some questionable alliances, including a prominent one with Tombstone, whose near-death helped kick-start the gang war. After her father was nearly killed, Tombstone’s daughter, Janice Lincoln (The Beetle), decided she needed to take over her father’s territories. The war finally came down to the forces of the Beetle versus the forces of Madame Masque (who was also fighting to prove something to her father, Maggia head, Count Nefaria), but there was a major twist.In the preview pages, we see that Janice’s forces had been working alongside Spider-Man and his fellow superheroes to take care of the more dangerous Madame Masque, but now that Lincoln has removed Janice from her leadership role, he has changed the plan.
