When I was playing around with that character and drawing him, that’s when I first started to think that this was fascinating stuff. Just looking back on it, because I remember going through the first couple issues of Detective Comics in reprints – not that I have them, but if anyone wants to send me Detective Comics #27, I’m here! I was just fascinated by the look and feel, and I always have been since I was a kid reading Detective Comics #27 reprinted.
